Finally they commented on the Halba Massacre

till now (on 9:15) the Future commented on the Halba massacre which says coming from the Future HQ: That this was planned, and a second statement (as if forgot to add the first), that they asked their supporters to stay at home!

Well why dont they admit that , because Sectarian driven, all parties are losing control over their supporters? Including them and their sectarian charge!

MFL, it was a massacre, and a tragedy, but in all honesty it was the ferocity, swiftness, and gloating of Hizbullah's and their allies' take over of West-Beirut and attack on the Chouf that inflamed the Sunni's of Halba and Tripoli. We are now in a war and one of the dirtiest kinds war. I hope it will be a very short-lived war.

You can not expect such extreme actions (which were such a disproportionate reaction to the so-called government's decisions; or at least they claimed it was a reaction) committed by the 'opposition' to not foster such vengeance and cold-bloodness. Extremism of any kind always breeds more extremism, be it religious, political, military, criminal, racist, sectarian and whatever else.

ok, this might be an extra info, I lived the entire civil war in Lebanon. I have seen people getting shot in front of me, and two people thrown from a balcony (as a form of execution) and landed in front of me, and not to imagine the several corpses. Yet, the only ferocity I have heard (other than the mass massacres) were the extreme butchery of Tawheed Movement in "Princedom" Tripoly on the Lebanese Communist party in general, and the Order for Communist Action/SSNP. And that massacre does not equate to that... I cant call it a Sunni - Shiite over here, more like aggressive sectarians attacking "allies of Hezbollah". who are known for advocates of the Syrian line... and you know what is the sad story? They are cousins, casualties of war interrogated and beaten a bit, but brutally killed and henceforth I support the surrender of their killers to the judicial court.

BTW, my comrades in SSNP dominated area, in formed me that the SSNP when swept their area in Ras Beirut barely slapt the militants for direct info, and quickly handed them to the army. Not that way... but in the end I condemn all movements and parties involved in this collission (and always did)

Yes, what is extremely tragic is that the killers were neighbors (and relatives???!) of their victims!

And this has happened before... I hope things are cooling down now.
