Women's Day Celebration on March 10

I got this via email... should be interesting... although I got issues with 1/4 of the topics proposed since they are not approached from a class struggle perspective

I know some people don't see it all from the same lens. But they are allies and if I was in Lebanon, I would go. So enjoy and I will attend my 80 year old feminist gathering where I have been named the "third waver" and I will endure because even though our vocabulary is different we strive for the same goals... Bonne chance, Buena Suerte, how do you say it in Arabic? You will write it and I will remember.

The topics seem interesting, of course it depends on the person who's leading the conversation and which approach they will use.

It's an interesting event.

Talking about the last great revolution to be fought, and it will be in its own way and won sometime down the line. When mothers are freed, so will finally be all their children.

Margret: Hazz Mowafaq (in arabic)
Gerry: Good luck as well from your side
Liliane: Miss you, most probably I am going to be there :D
Pocho: Problem is some feminists are taking to extreme they are becoming same as sexists but from the other side :(

When you are a woman functioning within/under the patriarchal system (which is everywhere, even in the class-struggle utopia that you advocate), you cannot afford to wage class struggle, but struggle against all authority, especially so the patriarchal authority that has plagued human history for the longest time (since the collapse of matriarchy at least).

The question for feminism, is whether to identify with Hillary Clinton or her housekeeper?
